HOW IT IS MADE
BEHIND THE SCENES WITH OUR NATURAL
SOY WAX FRAGRANCED CANDLES
All candles are manufactured and individually hand poured right here in Adelaide, South Australia. We do not produce off shore nor do we source any of our products and ingredients from overseas.
We are committed to excellent quality. We ensure that each and every product produced is treated with care which is evident in our final product.
1. CHOOSING THE FRAGRANCE AND JARS
Our candle making process begins with selecting the right jars and choosing a wide range of fragrances. At the moment we boast over 30 house fragrances with additional fragrances being introduced with each introduction of a new collection. To accompany these fragrances we also have a wide range of jars to suit most decor styles.
New jars are introduced for each new collection which in most cases will be Limited Edition.
2. OUR WAX BLENDING PROCESS
With our jars and fragrances already selected we then start the candle making process. Unlike some other companies that have opted for a triple scent we have listened to you the customer and have decided to only double scent our candles. This means that the heat throw (strength of fragrance smell) is strong enough to fill a room but not overpowering enough to create a faux, chemical smell. Our fragrances smell natural and don't leave you with a headache.
The fragrance is added to our natural soy wax base only once the wax has melted to the correct temperature. It is then hand stirred for a minimum of 3 minutes ensuring that the fragrance is evenly distributed into the wax giving it our signature heat throw that you all love.
We have chosen soy wax for a cleaner and more pure burn. Our wax is vegan, paraffin and petrolatum free, palm oil free, Kosher certified and cruelty free. We are very proud of the ingredients we use in our candles.
3. HAND-WICKING THE CANDLES
Most of our candles come with either one or two cotton wicks, with a selection of candles having our crackling wooden wicks. Each of the wicks are placed into the jars by hand. Both the cotton wicks and wooden wicks give off a clean burn which supports our business' mantra.
4. WAX POURING BY HAND
We hand pour each candle individually into your selected jar only once the wax has cooled down further. Wax temperatures are very important in each stage of the candle making process, it is what gives our candles a flawless finish.
Most of our jars are multi-purpose meaning you can re-use your jar once your candle has come to an end.
5. TRIMMING THE WICKS
Before the final stage we ensure that each wick has been hand trimmed correctly. We ensure that each wick measurement allows for controlled flame, a steady burn and optimal burn time. This means that your candle will burn evenly, cleanly and for the longest period of time.
Once the candle has been let to set for a minimum of 48 hours we then inspect each candle for any possible imperfections. We make sure that each candle sent out is of the highest quality. The candles are then hand packaged into their appropriate gift boxes and then shipped to our customers across the world.
